The Susquehanna River Trail Association invites all paddlers to join us for one of two events within the “Adventure.” The committee has already met and is planning a new and improved edition. For the same price as last year, you will get a GRA teeshirt, a special event souvenir, a picnic lunch, and a great day on the river.
Try the ever-popular Island Hopper is perfect for families and all those interested in learning about the Susquehanna River. It's a leisurely trip from Millersburg to Halifax featuring three new educational stops with hands-on (or in) activities with the first group starting at 11:30 a.m..
And for those that want to exercise their paddling might, join in the Canoe Club of Greater Harrisburg Ten Mile Down River Race, from Dalmatia to Millersburg beginning at 10:00 a.m. Multiple divisions are planned for canoes, kayaks, women and men. This year everyone gets a specially designed medal.
And don't forget the post race picnic. Awards, music, and an improved picnic are planned for Great River Adventure participants and their families.The picnic this year will be held at MYO park in Millersburg over the lunch hour between the end of the Down River Race and the beginning of the Island Hopper event.
