TEXT-BASED INFORMATION GUIDES

Information becomes outdated as soon as it is committed to paper. To provide river travelers with current information about an ever-changing resource, SRTA posts the following text-based charts to reflect additions, deletions or information changes to the printed graphic trail guide.

Click on the charts below to view/print/download information about locales on which you want more information for planning or paddling. The entries are listed in downstream order by river miles – from the tidal fall line at Havre de Grace MD, where the trail ends in the Chesapeake Bay. Each chart lists the date of the latest update of information.

River Shore Amenities - Listed by launch/landing sites and contain information about nearby facilities.

River Navigation Landmarks - Listed by features visible from the river, serving as reference points for water travelers.

Camping/Day Use Island Locator - Listed by island campsite locations and include information about the campsite facilities

If you don't have a copy of the Susquehanna River Water Trail (Middle Section) Trail Guide:

     a) See links (above) to principal area stores that sell the guide – in person or via the internet. It may also be available at other stores and outfitters .

     b) Sign up as a new member of the SRTA and receive a free copy of the trail guide (and an SRTA boat/bumper sticker). Do it for TWO years at a $15 savings and also get a premium - a waterproof, pocket-sized Pennsylvania Nature Guide !

     c) If you don't have time to get a waterproof, illustrated, detailed map, before a trip, print out the pages listed here as a temporary substitute.
