Great River Adventure Series:
Pat Reilly Roaring Bull Race
Saturday June 6, 2020
The Susquehanna River Trail Association is again sponsoring the Pat Reilly Roaring Bull Canoe, Kayak, and Stand Up Paddleboard Race on Saturday June 6, 2020. The course goes from the mouth of east shore Mahantango Creek with the finish line at the mouth of the Wiconisco Creek in Millersburg on a beautiful section of the Susquehanna River.
SRTA sponsors this event as a service for the local paddling community including time after the race for fellowship with other paddlers. We will be having a post-race Family Picnic at MYO Park at the finish line for racers and friends. Come join in the fun!
The competitive race course is nine miles and the recreational race course is approximately six miles. Both races again have a multitude of classes for men and women, singles and doubles, and all sizes and types of canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards. If you have a boat and want to race or just want a brisk paddle, we have a class for you.
Included in the $25 registration fee are coffee and donuts; morning shuttles; safety boat support; door prizes; race awards; special event t-shirts; and an All-American picnic at MYO Park in Millersburg at the conclusion of the race.
Fee discounts are available for SRTA members and early registration. Check-in begins at 8:00 am at the launch site: 14 Bells Lane, Dalmatia two blocks off Rt 147. We ask the drivers to leave registration area for MYO Park by 9:00 am.
The bus shuttle departs MYO Park promptly at 9:20 am to return to the launch site / registration area. Safety talks begin at 9:45 am. Race begins at 10:00 am
